Hometown Heroes
The City of Roy established in 1908 has a population of 870 and is a mile and a half long. We may be small in size but we are large in spirit.
Historically we pull together to meet the needs of each other and the city. From beautifying areas to refurbishing a building or raising funds for the medical crisis of a child, we have seen the citizens of Roy meet the need.
Like many cities facing tough economic times, some services have been reduced and employee hours cut. In the midst of this, it is the citizens who are filling in the voids by raising the funds to keep the library open or securing the materials to repair an item.
In honor of those who are stepping up to the plate to meet the city's current needs, we are establishing Hometown Heroes where those who donate time, talent or treasure can be acknowledged.
